Hosting & infrastructure
Hosting set up, deployed and watched, on AWS or Pantheon, in accounts you own. Automated deployments mean releases happen in minutes and can be rolled back. The accounts, keys and bills stay in your name, so you're never locked in.
engagement: Setup project, then monthly platforms: AWS or Pantheon ownership: Accounts in your name credential: AWS certified
Sounds familiar?
- Deployments are done by FTP or a list of manual steps
- There's no staging site to test changes on
- The site slows down or falls over under campaign traffic
- The hosting bill keeps growing and nobody knows why
- Your current host or agency holds all the keys
The work, in detail.
AWS: EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront
An architecture sized to your traffic and budget, defined as code where it makes sense so it can be rebuilt.
Pantheon site and workflow setup
Dev, test and live environments, and a workflow your team can follow.
CI/CD pipelines and staging environments
Every change tested and deployed the same way, with staging that matches live.
CDN, caching and performance tuning
Pages served from the edge where possible, with Drupal's caching set up properly behind it.
Hosting cost reviews
Unused resources, oversized servers and surprise charges found and cut.
Moves between hosts with minimal downtime
Rehearsed on staging first, then a planned cutover with a short content freeze.
From first call to finished work.
Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute discovery call and a written proposal. Nothing starts until the scope, price and terms are agreed in writing.

Frequently asked.
AWS or Pantheon?
Pantheon suits teams that want a managed Drupal platform with dev, test and live built in. AWS suits platforms that need a custom setup, other services alongside the site, or tighter control of cost. I'll recommend one after looking at your site, traffic and team.
Who pays the hosting bill?
You do, directly to the provider, from an account in your name. My fees cover the setup and management work only.
Will the site go down during the move?
The move is rehearsed on staging first and the cutover is planned for a quiet time, with a short content freeze. DNS settings are prepared in advance so the switch takes effect quickly.
Will you have access to personal data?
If the work means handling personal data, such as user accounts, form submissions or a copy of a live database, we sign a UK GDPR data processing agreement alongside the contract before I get access. Where I can, I work on copies with personal data removed.
Tell me what your site needs.
The first conversation is free and comes with no obligation. Tell me about your site and I'll come back with a written proposal.
